One Piece Live Action; Powerful Villains We Can’t Wait To See On Netflix Series

One Piece Live Action is set to return to season 2 with Luffy’s journey to the Grand Line. However, after entering the Grand Line, Luffy will also come across some of the most powerful villains of all time before getting to the One Piece left behind by Gol D Roger. Luffy at the end of season one has just about won his crew mates over and is reaching the Grand Line. There he will gather more members before fighting off some of the beloved One Pieces villains.

Alongside, Monkey D. Luffy ( played by Iñaki Godoy) the Straw Hats crew also includes swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), navigator Nami (Emily Rudd), marksman Usopp (Jacob Romero) and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar). The makers of the live-action have confirmed the appearance of several other cast members like Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr Kureha and Mark Harelik as Dr Hiriluk. However, some villains have also been confirmed including Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0 and Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday.

Fans have many favourite villains from the show, but the number of villains and their allegiance to their leaders can be just as overwhelming. Eiichiro Oda is known for using villains in more ways than one. They aren’t just obstacles in Luffy’s path to the One Piece but also add to his mental growth. Take a look at some of the most influential villains who we can’t wait to see in the live-action series by Netflix.

Donquixote Doflamingo – Donquixote Pirates

Among all the characters that will make it to the live-action, Donquixote Doflamingo is bound to be on the list. It is unclear how long it will take for the show to reach that point in the story, but his on screen appearance is definitely an anticipated one. He makes his debut in Punk Hazard and is one of the most dangerous villains in the series. Doflamingo has committed several crimes that are unthinkable for most people. He killed his father and his brother without showing any contrition. Doflamingo took over the country of Dressrosa by turning the entire populace against King Riku and crowned himself as the new king.

Akainu- Fleet Admiral Of The Marines

Akainu is one of the most powerful Navy Admirals, but despite being in the Navy he does not show any real interest in protecting the people of the world. However, he is shown as a believer in Absolute Justice and will go to any means to ensure that his philosophy prevails. He is well known among fans for his biggest moment in the story which left a dire impact on the story and Luffy. Akainu will be seen in One Piece live action during the Marineford arc as he manipulates Squard into stabbing Whitebeard, and later on, kills Ace, himself.

Blackbeard – Blackbeard Pirates

With the live action covering up the plot faster than the anime or the manga, Blackbeard is expected to appear in the show sooner. He is set to be Luffy’s final opponent to become the King of the Pirates. Blackbeard is the most dangerous villain Luffy has come across, he isn’t just powerful but also very calculative. His rise to the status of a Yonko and possession of two devil fruits will be a sight to see. He will also appear in the Marineford arc along with many other villains. The bounty on him is of 2,247,600,000 berries making him one of the most feared criminals in the world.

Crocodile – The Cross Guild

Crocodile will appear in the upcoming season, making it an even more anticipated series. Apart from his identity, he is also famous for being a rare villain who has defeated Luffy not once, but twice. Crocodile managed to take over an entire nation without breaking a sweat and will be seen as somewhat of an ally to Luffy later on. Crocodile throughout the story has managed to prove more than once is more than just a talented fighter. Doflamingo also wanted the former to team up with him but Crocodile’s real intentions are still a mystery.

Kaido – The Beasts Pirates

Kaido is the antagonist of the Wano arc who can take the form of a dragon. He rules on the Land of Wano for decades with Orochi and only a few characters have managed to hurt him in a fight. He has also beaten Luffy in a fight and Luffy had to get some help and a power up to be able to take him down. Kaido is also from the era of Gold D Roger, making him dangerous just by the kind of days he has seen and the knowledge he has.

Enel – God Of Skypiea

Enel became the God of Skypiea after taking over with his devil fruit powers of Goro Goro no Mi. Enel is one of the first characters who featured the power of Mantra, or Observation Haki in the story. His appearance doesn’t just mean we will get to see a powerful villain, but also see Skypiea one of the most underrated places and arcs in One Piece. He is also one of the biggest villains Luffy come across in the early days of his journey to becoming the Pirate King. Luffy’s devil fruit powers save him from Enel or it wouldn’t have been easy to take down the God of Skypiea.

She has the power of the Soru Soru no Mi, which allows her to steal the souls of others and transfer them to inanimate objects. She uses it to create homies to fight for her. Big Mom is known as the pitiless pirate who will even kill her children if they dare to stand in her way.

World Government

The World Government is the biggest enemy of the Straw Hats. Led by Imu the group holds the highest authority in the One Piece world. The World Government has been part of many evil deeds which always come back to the Void Century including the Ohara Incident. Time and again it is revealed that the World Government isn’t there for the welfare of the people. In an effort to hide the history of the world and the Void Century, the World Government banned reading the Poneglyphs, which are essential to finding the One Piece.
